Why you need Separate Domains for Cold Emailing

You should send regular emails from your primary domain (i.e. where your website resides). Emails sent from this domain should only be sent to recipients who have opted-in to receive emails from your brand.

Cold emails should never be sent from your primary website, because there is potential for Email Service Providers (ESP’s) and Internet Service Providers (ISP’s) to downgrade, distrust or block services from these domains if they see high levels of complaints or ‘unexpected’ behaviour.

Cold emailing is a useful tool for offering services to selected groups of people, but it is often abused by many who use it for spamming.
