What is Cold Emailing?

Cold emailing is the method used to send emails to a very high volume of people (can be thousands per day), who are probably not already aware or familiar with your service or brand. Cold emailing is often used to introduce your service or brand to a targeted group of people. A warm email is similar, but is low volume and includes personal information. For example, a cold email will use a generic template, which includes personal information (e.g. name or location) obtained from a lead generation service such as Apollo or Leadhype. A warm email is likely to be hand-written and include personal information manually obtained from the recipient’s website or LinkedIn profile.
