Configuring the Warming of Email Accounts

Sign up to Instantly.

For the first 3 weeks, you will not be sending any emails, you will only be warming the email accounts. To save some money, you could sign up to their 'Growth' plan, them upgrade to their 'Hypergrowth' plan when you are ready to send emails (unless you only want to send emails to 1,000 recipients -- or manage this manually, in that case; stick with the 'Growth' plan).

I did find their process a bit confusing the first time, so here are my simplified instructions:

  1. From the Instantly 'Email Accounts' screen select 'Add New'
  2. Select 'Google' (note, they list G-Suite, this as been renamed to Google Workspace)
  3. Select 'Yes, IMAP has been enabled'
  4. Select 'Option 2: oAuth'
  5. Click on the link 'Google Workspace Admin Panel' (https://admin.google.com/u/1/ac/owl/list?tab=configuredApps) -- this takes you to the required page within the Google Workspace Admin Panel
  6. Log on with the Administrator user you created (e.g. [email protected])
  7. Select 'Add App'
  8. Select 'OAuth App Name or Client ID'
  9. Copy the text in the grey section of the Instantly website and paste it into the search of the Google Workspace page
  10. Select 'Search'
  11. 'Instantly oAuth v1' appears in the box below -- click 'select' on that row
  12. On the Client ID page, select the check box and the click on 'select'
  13. Select the 'Trusted' option and then click on the 'Configure' button
  14. In the 'Configured' apps' section of the page, you should now see:
  • App Name = Instantly oAuth v1
  • Access = Trusted
  1. On the Instantly website, select the 'Login' button
  2. Log on with the Administrator user you created (e.g. [email protected])
  3. You should now see the user in the Instantly 'Email Accounts' page

Follow these steps for each of the other cold email addresses:

  1. From the Instantly 'Email Accounts' screen select 'Add New'
  2. Select 'Google'
  3. Select 'Yes, IMAP has been enabled'
  4. Select 'Option 2: oAuth'
  5. Select the 'Login' button
  6. Log on with one of the email address you created earlier

You should now see the user in the Instantly 'Email Accounts' page.
