How to Validate Leads

Although lead acquisition companies such as Leadhype try to keep their data relevant, you should run the emails through an email validation service, to ensure that the emails are valid.

Sending a large number of emails to invalid addresses (generating a high number of ‘bounces’) can harm your email ranking, risking all emails from your account (or domain) being restricted or blocked by Email Service Providers.

As an example, I generated 10,000 leads. After validation, I was left with 5,200 leads.

At the time of writing, I have emailed 1,823 addresses and only 33 (1.8%) have bounced.

There are many email validation services, Bulk Email Checker is considered to be a good one (cheap and reliable).
