What Content Should be Used in the Emails?

Email Components

Subject

The sole purpose of the subject is to get the recipient to open the email and read its contents.

The text could ask a question or provide a statement about the problem you can help them resolve.

Body

Emails should be concise. Set an introduction, define their problem, offer a solution and provide a call to action. Include some key points that will make the recipient want to learn more.

The call to action could be a link to a calendar (to set up a call) or a link to a website for an offer or more information.

Email Templates

To get started, you can take inspiration from email templates.

Some good examples are from Instantly (see 'templates' within their tool), Hunter and Lemlist.

What Should You Ask For?

Make it easy for your recipient to take the next step by including a clear call to action.

The call to action could be a link to a calendar tool (e.g. Calendly)

Whether it's scheduling a call or meeting, requesting more information or trying out your product or service, be clear about what you want them to do next.

Should You Include URL's, Calendar Invites and Images?

It's a common myth that including URL's and images harms the deliverability of emails as are more likely to be considered spam.

We include images in all our emails and URL's in most of them -- and our open rate is 81.7%, which is very high. Stats from our Instantly dashboard:
