Configure a Custom Tracking Domain
A custom tracking domain is used to track opens and clicks in emails that you send. This is important to protect your email deliverability.
If you do not set up your own custom tracking domain, a public tracking domain will be used which is not as good for the health of your domains or deliverability.
For each of your cold email domains, do the following:
- In your DNS provider (e.g. Cloudflare) add a new record:
Type | Name | Content | Proxy Status |
---|---|---|---|
CNAME | inst | prox.itrackly.com | DNS only |
For each of your cold email accounts within Instantly, do the following:

- Click on ‘Check Status’, it should say ‘CNAME Verified, SSL Verified’
- Click on the ‘Save’ button at the top of the screen
